Catch the next wave: The Summit has always been the best place to learn about up-and-coming broadband technologies and new broadband business opportunities. This year, attendees get the insider’s view again with revealing looks at such growing markets as fiber-based wireless backhaul, smart-grid services and multitenant-unit commercial buildings. Service providers, municipal officials, property owners and electric utilities - don’t miss these sessions, or the legal and regulatory sessions that will tell you about the opportunities the new regulatory environment provides. |
MAPS: At the Rural Telecommunications Congress conference-within-a-conference, network operators and public officials will discover how to use the new state and national broadband maps. Outside the sessions, interactive and poster displays will illustrate what’s already being done with the maps. In fact, you don’t even have to come from a rural area to benefit from this program. Anyone can learn how to use the broadband maps to site facilities, target network-building opportunities, promote broadband training and adoption, or apply for broadband grants.

MEETINGS AND WORKSHOPS...
The Light Brigade’s two-day course is a great way for service provider managers and technicians to prepare for FTTH Council certification. BBC Corporate Editor Steve Ross’s workshop on FTTH Financial Analyzers will help service providers and consultants decide when, where and how to invest in fiber to the home. Private cable operators can participate in the DISH Network Summit and the IMCC membership meeting. Other associations will hold their board and membership meetings at the Summit, too. |
