Henry Pye serves as the vice president of Resident Technology Solutions for RealPage, Inc. Resident technology encompasses the business, legal, and technical aspects of voice, video, and data services, bulk services, unit, amenity area and building access control, unit and amenity area audio-video and lifestyle technologies, and other community low voltage amenities and systems.
Resident Technology Solutions support multifamily developments, acquisitions, and existing communities for dozens of developers, builders, managers and owners. Since 2001, the team has managed resident services and technology for hundreds of communities in 34 States, the District of Columbia, and Canada.
Resident Technology Solutions also coordinates efforts related to sustainable and high-performance design, including LEED certification, energy management, advanced utility submetering, and purchasing.
Prior to joining RealPage, Henry created and led the JPI Resident Solutions team providing expertise and advice internally to JPI and to third-party multifamily owners. Henry was a management trainee at JPI from 1998 to 2001. As a management trainee, he worked in JPI’s Luxury Multifamily Development, Luxury Multifamily Acquisitions, Student Living Development, Student Living Acquisitions, Market Research, Project Finance, and Information Services departments.
He authors the “Owners Corner” series for Broadband Properties Magazine and co-chairs the Multifamily Education Series for the annual Broadband Properties Summit. He has authored numerous other articles and is active in various industry organizations, conferences, and efforts.
Henry has also assisted with the introduction of various new services and technologies by multiple system operators, incumbent local exchange carriers, private communications operators, and original equipment manufacturers to the multifamily industry. In 2002 and 2006, Broadband Properties Magazine included Henry in its quadrennial listing of the Most Influential People in Real Estate & Technology. He is also a mentor and associate board member for the SMU Cox School of Business.
Henry received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Duke University in 1992. In 1997, he received his Master of Business Administration degree from the SMU Cox School of Business and his Juris Doctor degree from the SMU Dedman School of Law. Henry passed the Texas Bar in 1997. He is also a BICSI Registered Residential Installer.
Henry lives in Durham, North Carolina, with his wife, Sybil, and sons A. Kenneth and Jack Ross.
