8:00 am – 10:10 am
Getting Advanced Broadband Systems Built
Communities that want to use broadband to spur economic growth must first get advanced broadband networks built, either by partnering with private network operators or by undertaking the job themselves. In this session, community leaders discuss their strategies for making advanced broadband available. One approach that is gaining momentum involves mobilizing gigabit communities to serve as proving grounds for new applications. The success of these initiatives will not only benefit the communities involved but also provide incentives for further FTTH builds.
