Metrics
Poorly designed low-voltage infrastructure poses a recurring problem in new student housing. Students expect problem-free, high-performance Internet access from Day One. To address this issue, many property owners have begun developing standards for the design, installation and operation of low-voltage infrastructure in student housing. Taking students’ service-level expectations as a given, these standards back into construction requirements for the underlying low voltage infrastructure. In this session, a panel of senior IT professionals with experience in student housing will explore this problem and discuss the passive and active components of low-voltage infrastructure to meet students’ service-level requirements.
