For more than 25 years, Mr. Glivar has counseled small, mid-sized and Fortune 100 companies on their technology and telecommunications needs. As the Intellectual Property practice group leader for Holland & Hart LLP, Mr. Glivar manages and provides the strategic vision for more than 100 intellectual property professionals across seven offices, which includes lawyers practicing patent, trademark, copyright, IP litigation and IP transactions, as well as patent agents, engineers, interns, docketing clerks and other para-professionals. He focuses on two main areas: (1) drafting and negotiating day-to-day operations contracts required to run telecommunications companies, including access, system construction, service and marketing agreements with residential and commercial business property owners, and (2) drafting and negotiating technology agreements to build, expand and upgrade telecommunications infrastructure, including plant, hardware and software purchasing and licensing, cloud services, Internet of Things (IoT), mobile applications development and new services deployment, and maintenance and support agreements. He received the BTI Client Service All-Star award in 2015 and 2017 in the Telecommunications and Technology Transactions category, joining an exclusive group of attorneys singled out by corporate counsel for excellent client service. Mr. Glivar has been a speaker on the Broadband Communities Summit legal panel for more than 10 years.
