Webb spent her early career working in the financial services industry in Toronto, in marketing and management, where she launched channel marketing platforms that continue to dominate channel strategy in the mutual fund industry today. After moving to the Berkshires in 2002, she operated a marketing consulting agency and joined a handful of tech-savvy western Massachusetts residents in spearheading efforts to create a regional municipal fiber-to-the-premises network in towns unserved by broadband. The result was WiredWest, incorporated in 2011 under a Massachusetts statute that enables municipalities to individually or jointly finance, build and operate telecommunications networks.
At Ting, Webb works with local stakeholders in existing Ting towns and evaluates existing and prospective gigabit network locations and related business projects.
