Mike Barney is the Technical Services Coordinator for the Texas Department of Public Safety, and directs the Long Term Evolution (LTE) 4G effort for the State of Texas. He has three decades of industry experience identifying needs and developing scores of solutions for Communications and Communications Security products as communications oriented systems, from individual products to global communications systems. He is the co-creator of Modern Steganography, Lead Engineer on the first interoperable communications solution, and authored the National Key Management Plan for an allied country, and has demonstrated significant project and program management experience for local, state, national and international programs.
He holds a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters with Honors, in Homeland Security. He is the holder of 1 U.S. Patent.
