Mark Batman is the President/CEO of Marshall County REMC, a member focused rural electric cooperative, serving 7,500-meters, located in north central Indiana. Their Board of Directors views providing broadband as simply the next step in what they were organized by their original members back in 1936. They understand that they are uniquely positioned to provide a needed service that no one else is prepared to do, so their rural members can remain economically viable and socially engaged. Mr. Batman joined the cooperative in 2003 and has served in several capacities before assuming to his current position.
Prior to joining the REMC, Mr. Batman was General Manager of Swan Lake Resort located in Plymouth, IN. Swan Lake Resort is a complete golf resort facility hosting 2 championship courses. During his tenure at the resort it was the site of the largest single location adult golf school in the country.
