Westfield Gas + Electric Light Department (WG+E) and Whip City Fiber
Aaron Bean has spent over 28 years in the natural gas and electric industry, focusing on engineering and operations. He has served as Operations Manager of Westfield Gas + Electric Light Department’s gas, electric, and telecommunications operations since 2009. He is also the Project Manager for the Department’s fiber to the home business, Whip City Fiber. Aaron holds a Bachelor Of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Hartford and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
WG+E has been serving gas and electric accounts for over 120 years, and has been serving internet, lit and unlit fiber circuits for commercial and industrial customers for over 20 years. In 2015, the WG+E began offering residential internet service to residents of Westfield, and is on schedule to pass by 12,000 residents and businesses by mid 2018. The combined business units of the WG+E currently serve over 30,000 accounts.
