Matt Beattie

Matt Beattie manages AT&T's Fiber to the Building Program, a component of the company's multi-year IP transformation effort. In this position, Matt oversees the marketing, sales, and network buildout of fiber optic services to business properties throughout AT&T's 22-state wireline service area.

Matt has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, including marketing, sales, and operations experience with voice, data, and mobile communications. His work at AT&T and Cingular Wireless has positioned him as an expert in designing and managing distribution channels and managing integrated marketing campaigns.

Matt joined Cingular Wireless in 2003 to run its B2B Customer Lifecycle Marketing division. In that role, he launched new distribution channels, including contact centers to handle direct marketing for consumer and small business campaigns. He also developed an approach to fully integrate demand generation campaigns with fulfillment at his contact centers. He then became Area Vice President for Global Sales in the Pacific Northwest, where he managed wireless distribution to multi-national companies.

Matt graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He did his graduate work at North Carolina State University, where he obtained a Master's Degree in Operations Research. He was in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1988-2002, leaving the service with the rank of Major. Matt lives in Seattle with his wife daughter Alex, and two sons.
