Steve Biggerstaff

Founding President, Director and Advisor

Steve Biggerstaff has devoted his professional career to developing large-scale infrastructure projects to sustain and grow economic development in communities. As a co-founder of Metronet, a fiber to the premises overbuilder, over the last 15 years Steve has helped Metronet expand into 21 Indiana communities by forging innovative public-private partnerships with local governments to achieve key economic development and fiber broadband infrastructure goals. He currently represents Metronet in front of prospective communities and advises Metronet’s senior leadership team on business development, legislative and community development issues.

Prior to joining Metronet, Steve was part of Duke Energy’s (f/k/a Cinergy Corp.) executive management team where he was responsible for large scale energy and telecommunication development initiatives in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. He also led multi-million dollar international business development energy projects in China, Indonesia, Argentina, and Panama. Steve also co-founded several regional economic development public-private partnerships and served on the Board of Directors of Indianapolis International Airport Authority, and a variety of philanthropic organizations.

Steve earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Evansville.
