CTO
STRATIS
Ryan Buchert, serial entrepreneur, technologist, and mentor, has over twenty-five years of technology experience and numerous patents. He has earned an international reputation as the wireless industry expert for innovation in multiple protocols, including Z-Wave, WiFi, BTLE, and ZigBee. His pioneering innovations leapfrog his every project five to ten years ahead of competitors. Buchert was developing for the Internet of Things before it was a thing.
Buchert co-founded STRATIS in 2013, as the second spinout of BuLogics, Inc., his first technology company founded in 2003. Embracing the idea that wireless integration could be dramatically simplified, Buchert focused his entrepreneurial efforts on realizing that vision through simplifying the user and installation experience and greatly increasing the sophistication and intelligence inside of the tools and devices themselves. As a testament to those efforts, Buchert developed the methodologies and led the technology teams behind the unprecedented and unduplicated 65,000 module Z-Wave installation at The Wynn Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, the largest wireless deployment in the world. >From that experience, Buchert and his teams have developed the most pioneering and innovative methodologies and technologies for the wireless automation industry known.
Buchert’s project history numbers in the hundreds, from residential and industrial wireless pilots and programs with strategic partners throughout the world, including SMUD, Comcast, Monster, Vigzul, and multiple Fortune 500 Companies, to customized on-site invention on live installations. His white-labeled technology can be found on retail shelves from Lowe’s to Best Buy and in hundreds of installations around the globe.
Buchert is an Advisor at DreamIt Ventures. Prior to founding BuLogics, he worked in wireless technology and patents for 3G/4G mobility. Ryan graduated with a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and earned Drexel’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2013.
