Ron Daley is Strategic Partner Lead for the KY Valley Educational Cooperative. He has served as the director of external education programs at Hazard Community and Technical College. He worked at Alice Lloyd College until he co-founded the Troublesome Creek Times weekly newspaper which he edited and published for 20 years and won more than 300 state and national newspaper awards. He is a founding member of the East Kentucky Leadership Foundation. Ron is the founding chairman of the Knott-Hindman Community Development Initiative and worked with local citizens and legislators to help secure funding for the Knott Branch of HCTC, the Ky School of Craft and other CDI projects. He was campus director from 1998-2003, founding director of the University Center of the Mountains from 2003-2008, served as Senior Director of Advancement and Governmental Relations 2008-2011 and served the Dean of Administrative Services until assuming his new duties in 2014. Ron has been active with P-16 Councils and is the chairman of the KY Association of Local P-16 Councils. Ron graduated from Berea College and obtained his Masters of Arts in History from Western KY University.
