Mr. Brian Garcia, Managing Director of Aegis’ Municipal Finance department and member of Aegis’ Debt Capital Markets team, has over a decade of experience serving both public and private entities in the origination, structuring, marketing and placing of debt securities. He has covered issuers both large and small, domestic and international and is a key member of Aegis’ expanding debt capital markets group.

Project Finance. Mr. Garcia’s brings a wealth of experience and expertise in public/private partnerships, economic development financings and project financings across the country. He has significant experience developing strategies to incorporate and utilize both the private and public sectors. Mr. Garcia’s knowledge and expertise of the legal, financial and political impacts of these project financings and the potential positive effect on local communities helps local municipalities review, plan and finance essential projects that may otherwise not obtain funding.

Municipal Finance. Mr. Garcia has been in the municipal finance debt business since 2004. He began his career at Citi covering issuers in the Southeast and Southwest regions. Mr. Garcia has also held positions at RBC Capital Markets, Piper Jaffray and Oppenheimer working in each firm’s municipal finance department. Throughout his career, Mr. Garcia has worked with municipal issuers of all types and sizes in helping to raise funds through municipal debt offerings. He has been involved in structuring and financing hundreds of projects across the Country. Over his career, Mr. Garcia has worked on over 300 financings for more than $10 billion in par amount for municipal issuers.

Debt Capital Markets. Along with other senior members of Aegis, Mr. Garcia continues to enhance the presence of Aegis’ debt capital markets team. He is able to offer clients a comprehensive, thorough business review and determine the viability of potential projects that meet a client’s goals and objectives while helping achieve the lowest borrowing cost possible. His ability to provide thorough credit analysis and financial review helps client’s feel comfortable on their ability to access the credit markets and achieve favorable borrowing terms and interest rates for their needs.

Mr. Garcia graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Brian played 4 years of football for the Crimson, helping the team go undefeated during the 2001 season on its way to an Ivy League title. Brian currently holds Series 52 and 63 licenses.
