John Glicksman has more than 25 years of legal and business experience, as lawyer, officer, and Board member, working with publicly-traded and privately-held companies. He has worked, both in-house and in major law firms, with businesses, and their investors, ranging from start-ups to Fortune 50 entities. He has specialized in working with cable, telecom, and additional communications and technology businesses, and he has expertise in a range of areas including corporate; finance; M&A; regulatory affairs; and litigation before multiple federal agencies and federal and state trial and appeals courts.
John has worked in private practice with national Washington, DC law firms, representing industry leaders in cable as well as broadcast tv and radio on transactional, litigation, and regulatory matters. He served as Deputy General Counsel for one of the U. S.’ top 10 cable operators during a time when it more than doubled its customer base; he oversaw all legal aspects of daily operations and managed all litigation, including cases before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fourth, Eleventh, and DC Circuits. He also served as the first General Counsel for a publicly-traded telecom company during a time when it tripled the number of its operating markets. He also served as the first General Counsel for a venture investor in life sciences and other technology companies, where he helped to grow its portfolio from fewer than 10 to more than 60 companies and was instrumental in the creation of a sidecar venture fund.
Mr. Glicksman also has served as an officer and Board member with multiple trade associations, and he has served two terms as a publicly-elected Borough Councilman. He received his B. A., with High Honors, from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, and his J. D, with Honors, from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
