Doug Gray is the Station Manager of Austin Public, the City of Austin’s community media center and one of the Austin Film Society’s three locations. Doug is a self-taught videographer, graphic-designer and editor whose work mainly involved corporate video production prior to finding his passion in public-access television. Doug became a Public Access Producer in 2007 and since then he has produced and directed several TV shows and has collaborated on several other Producer projects. As an employee of the facility’s previous management, channelAustin, Doug began his tenure as an Equipment Specialist in 2010 and was promoted to the position of Programming Director where he programmed the three public access channels and taught several of the equipment and studio classes from 2011-2015. Doug was promoted to Station Manager shortly after the Austin Film Society took over management of the facility in October, 2015.
