Rob is the CIO for the City of Davenport, Iowa. He oversees all technology projects designed to support all departments and transform business processes with a focus on improved efficiencies, better decision making, transparency and modernization. Key projects recently implemented include, a content management solution, ERP, consolidated dispatch center, narrow-band radio communication system, desktop and server virtualization, solid state storage system, enterprise work-order management system and a city-wide fiber optic network. Rob is actively involved in leveraging wireless communication systems for a mobile workforce, including city-wide asset management and tracking solutions. He is also currently exploring the use of the Internet of Things and a Smart City initiative building upon their P3 next-generation municipal fiber broadband network.
