Sue Inches has worked in public policy and community development for almost thirty years. She served as Deputy Director of the Maine State Planning Office where she took the lead on a public policy issues including energy efficiency, renewable energy, land use planning, solid waste and broadband. She served on the Board of CEI for nine years, including three years as Board Chair. CEI is a thriving Community Development Finance Institute that brings loans, New Markets Tax Credits, and equity investments to community projects, with a focus on low income and rural areas. Sue first became involved with broadband as part of her community development work, and then worked as a Senior Broadband Consultant at Tilson Technology in 2015-2016. Currently, Sue is an independent broadband consultant working to improve broadband in communities in the Northeast. Her firm, Broadband and Energy Partners is a one-woman shop, but she has partnered with an economist, a grant writer and an engineering and mapping firm to provide a full range of services to clients.  Sue has an MBA from the University of New Hampshire, a BA from the College of the Atlantic, and a Certificate in Facilitation from the University of Southern Maine. Sue lives in Yarmouth, Maine with her husband Bob and dog Nutmeg.
