Broadband Services Manager
Longmont Power & Communications

34 years of systems development and management experience in various industries. In 1988 was responsible for creating and operating telecommunications data centers. From 1990 through 1993 assembled and led the systems development team that developed and deployed the first ATM switching network in the US. This was accomplished at WilTel’s Advanced Technology Center and the systems included a complete Operations Support System (OSS), Network Management System (NMS), and a Billing system.

In 1993 joined SHL Systems House, a systems integrator, where I established and managed the Object Technology Center in Boulder, Colorado. The major project won and delivered was a consolidation of MCI’s customer care systems for their Friends and Family program.

In 1995 moved to Zurich, Switzerland where I served as CTO for Swiss Bank Corporation’s IT company, Systor, where I was responsible for the technology direction of the company and for opening new markets in the insurance and telecommunications industry. Immediately secured major projects with Swiss Telecom to update their customer care and billing systems and with Basel Insurance to update their customer service systems. On the strength of these successes, in 1997, with a long-time partner, founded our own software product company, Solant, which developed, marketed and sold an Interactive Customer Care and Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment system to the telecommunications industry. Solant merged with its largest competitor in 2000.

From 2000 to 2004 I provided management consulting services with various companies in Colorado.

In 2004, with partners, we created RidgeviewTel, developer of a state-of-the-art unified OSS/BSS/NMS product for wireline and wireless carriers. RVT also provides customer care and NOC outsourcing services to carriers using this platform. RVT operates networks in three states as a means of furthering development of the product and proving its viability.
