"As the Vice President of IT Operations at Erickson Living I am responsible for creating, implementing and supporting the strategy for application delivery, infrastructure provisioning and optimization, performance management and all data center operations in support of over 12,000 staff and 20,000 residents in 16 communities.

"My responsibilities also include the support of the Erickson Health Medical Group and their associated healthcare applications, including GEs Centricity EMR.

"Prior to joining Erickson, I served as the Chief Technology Officer of the National Aquarium in Baltimore. In the 10 years at the Aquarium I implemented a variety of new technology solutions including a new financial suite, a content management system for the Aquarium’s award winning web site, a new animal management information system, a new retail POS and inventory management system, and numerous handheld applications that are used to provide better information regarding the Aquarium’s dolphin and shark collections.

"As a result of these contributions, I was named as one of Computer World’s Top 40 Under 40 IT Innovators in 2007.

"I am actively involved in the community and have served on numerous boards including chairing the Technology Advisory Committee for the International Species Information System, a non-profit that provides IT solutions for animal health management to over 700 zoos and aquariums in 72 countries. I have also served on the Mid Atlantic CIO Forum Board and was the past chair of the Mid Atlantic Executive Advisory board for Microsoft.

"I thoroughly enjoy public speaking and have been the keynote speaker at Gartner’s CIO Academy, Gartner’s EXP Annual CIO Summit and the Philadelphia CIO Summit in addition to being a guest speaker at numerous global conferences on web content management.

"My 20 years of experience in IT covers a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, pre-press, non-profit and government (USAF)."
