16+ years of multifamily real estate industry experience working for two large, publicly traded REITs, owner/operators/developers. Currently with Forest City Reality Trust, a NYSE-listed national real estate company principally engaged in the ownership, development, management and acquisition of office and residential real estate throughout the United States.
Michael is responsible for the residential marketing activities for stabilized and new development, revenue management, leasing/sales management, customer service/experience, and ancillary revenue. Within each of those departments Michael formulates, directs, and implements the strategy and execution for Residential across product types, geographies, and in all stages of the product life-cycle. He leads the development and execution of annual marketing plans and budgets for stabilized properties. Working closely with the operations group, new development operations team and the interactive department to ensure that day-to-day and week-to-week sales and marketing plans are yielding revenue growth while maintaining occupancy.
Michael is a respected industry leader and has spoken at NMHC, NAHB, NAA and other real estate conferences. He is also a member of several internal committees within Forest City.
