The Daily Yonder (www.dailyyonder.com) is a national news platform covering rural America. Marema’s paid and volunteer correspondents around the country provide rural perspectives on national news and explore the nation’s diverse rural cultures, economies, politics and more. The Daily Yonder is published by the Center for Rural Strategies, a nonprofit organization established in 2001. Before helping start the Center for Rural Strategies, Marema worked in weekly and daily newspapers and nonprofit administration. He is a graduate of Berea College and holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
