Todd E. McDaniel, CEcD is President and CEO of The Research Valley Partnership, Inc. (RVP) a public--private economic development corporation located in Bryan--College Station, Texas. Mr. McDaniel also serves as Executive Director of the Texas Emerging Technology Fund’s Texas Triangle Regional Center for Innovation and Commercialization.

Mr. McDaniel has served as President and CEO of the RVP since November 2005. Under his guidance and with the strong support of community--university leadership, the RVP has transformed from traditional economic development strategies to what he calls “innovation economic development” – an “innovation to industry” model™. Today, the RVP works arm--in--arm with the Texas A&M University System components (A&M) headquartered in Bryan--College Station on corporate engagement, innovation economic development, and governmental affairs initiatives connecting community, university and industry.

The RVP’s vision is for the Research Valley to become a leading regional innovation economy in the global marketplace. Mr. McDaniel and his team strive to conduct economic development under the ethos -- ImpactLife™. The RVP is in pursuit of economic diversification helping new ventures launch, companies grow, and companies locate in the Research Valley, Texas while considering impact on the economy and society (locally and globally). Since 2005 and in order to accomplish its vision and mission, the RVP has focused on several cornerstone priorities to include: building the region’s innovation ecosystem and supporting the State’s growing technology led and advanced manufacturing industries.

Mr. McDaniel holds a Bachelor and Master of Arts from Baylor University located in Waco, Texas. He is also a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute and carries the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) designation as bestowed by the International Economic Development Council.
