Hossam Salib is Vice President of Access Technology Strategy on the Next Generation Access Team at Comcast. This team develops architectures, products, and technologies for the Comcast access network. Mr. Salib is an expert in fiber and copper technologies with a background in system and silicon development. He joined Comcast in 2013 after cofounding Aktino in 2003. After Aktino’sacquisition from Positron in 2009, Mr. Salib led the Positron/Aktino team to define and build the industry’s first 4/8 Pair Bonded ADSL2/VDSL2 products with Vectoring and MIMO. He worked with carriers on these technologies and products including AT&T, Verizon, France Telecom, British Telecom, and Telecom Italia. Mr. Salib started his career in engineering developing navigation and signal processing electronics and ASICs for communication satellites. He then moved to developing wireless silicon used in 900Mhz phones & GSMA phones at Conexant. He also worked at PairGain Technologies as Senior Director of engineering where he developed multi services access platforms utilizing various DSL technologies (e.g., ADSL, IDSL, T1 IMA).

Mr. Salib holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University of New York (NYU).
