Albert Sommers has lived on a Sublette County ranch all of his life. His four grandparents were early homesteaders in the Green River Valley. Sommers graduated with honors from the University of Wyoming in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. After university, he returned home to help run the family ranch.
In 2012, Sommers was elected to represent the citizens of House District 20 in the Wyoming Legislature.
