Dorothy Baunach is the Chief Executive of DigitalC, an organization she helped found and on whose Board she sat until 2017. DigitalC’s top priority is to launch and scale a successful EmpowerCLE initiative that will provide affordable and reliable broadband internet service to unserved and underserved areas in Greater Cleveland – mainly high poverty neighborhoods. Dorothy is a seasoned community and business leader with broad experience in strategic leadership in both non-profit and for-profit enterprises. Her career has spanned more than thirty-five years of successfully creating, transforming and leading organizations and initiatives that today are part of Greater Cleveland's and the State of Ohio's biomedical, entrepreneurial, technology, and innovation ecosystems. She also sits on the board of the Cleveland Water Alliance and is a strong advocate for innovation at the intersection of technology and water. She is an active member and elder of the Old Stone Church and is chairing its 2020 Bicentennial celebration. Dorothy was born and has lived most of her life in Cleveland. She holds an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, a Master of Science Degree in biology from the University of Dayton, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Wittenberg University.
