Josh is the Director of Multi-Family and New Build Strategy for Cox Communications. In this role, Josh is responsible for overseeing the company’s corporate multi-family and new build residential strategies across the enterprise. In addition to overseeing sales, growth and innovation strategies throughout the 18 states where we operate, Josh also works closely with our Field Sales, Marketing, Product and Technology teams to ensure greater alignment between our product offerings and speed-to-market to enhance the B2C and B2B customer experience.
Lunsford has more than 25 years of sales and technology experience in both consumer and business sectors, 20 of which have been with Cox. He started out his career at Cox in commercial sales serving SMB, healthcare, hotel/motel, higher education, senior living and multi-family segments working his way into sales and sales operations leadership primarily focused on the multi-family industry. During his time in field sales, he was a pioneer creating and selling the first managed Wifi solution for Cox in the multi-family space. Prior to shifting his focus to corporate strategy, he led Cox’s Central Region multi-family sales team across 5 states with responsibilities for the Digital Transformation and some of Cox’s largest multi-family portfolios.
For the last 3 years, Josh has served in his current capacity as Director of Strategy. In this role, he has guided the expansion of Cox’s new build program, enhancing managed services and the development of emerging technologies like move-in ready internet and community automation services.
Josh holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Business and Marketing from the University of Arkansas. He has served on numerous boards including the NWA Apartment Association, Boy Scouts of America and the Cancer Challenge. Josh is an avid outdoorsmen and spends as much time as possible on the family farm with his wife, son and daughter where they raise cattle and horses.
