Stephen Mayo is one of the leading technology consultants focusing on the design and implementation of fiber networks and telecommunication strategies for master-planned communities, municipalities, and universities. Over the past 30 years he has developed and implemented technology solutions and systems for multiple universities, hospitals, property developers, service providers, and communities.

South Bend, Indiana Economic Development. Steve consulted with the city of South Bend where he designed, implemented, and continues to manage the evolution of their municipal fiber network serving St Joseph and Marshall Counties. Steve’s project received the 2006 Connected Community Cornerstone Award from Broadband Properties.

Avalon, Alpharetta, Ga. Steve developed and implemented the technology strategy to help make North American Property’s Avalon the Southeast’s preeminent experiential development. The Project was awarded “Connected Community of the Year Award” from Broadband Properties Magazine in 2014.

Lake Nona “Medical City”, Orlando, Florida. Lake Nona is now home to six new medical campuses includes a downtown retail and commercial area along with several thousand new homes all integrated into a “campus of campuses”.

Canyon Hills, Lake Elsinore, California. Canyon Hills consists of approximately 2000 acres, nearly half of which will be preserved as natural open space, with a balanced mix of housing (3800 homes as well as community shopping facilities, elementary schools, and middle school). Steve was awarded “connected community of the year” in 2003 by Cenic for the Canyon Hills project.

Playa Vista, Los Angeles, California. This 1100-acre development of the former Howard Hughes Aircraft Company Headquarters is one of the largest master-planned communities in the country. Initially planned to house the DreamWorks studios, it is currently a for-hire studio campus which includes 12000 residential units and 6 million-sq. ft. of commercial space. Technology is one of the central themes to the project facilitating “real” work at home broadband amenities.
