Matt Sayre is Managing Director at Onward Eugene. In 2015, he and other local partners helped Eugene secure a ‘Top 10 up and coming tech cities in the Nation’ title from Fast Company Magazine. In 2017, Matt helped re-architect the physical internet in Oregon which led to Eugene’s 2017 designation as a ‘Mozilla Gigabit City’ and ‘US Ignite Smart Gigabit Community’. In 2018 Matt successfully helped recruit dozens of tech new companies to Eugene, creating hundreds of high paying jobs. In 2019, Matt was instrumental in the creation of EUGNet, which has been celebrated as one of the most successful economic development projects in the history of the city.
