Kevin Beyer has spent the last 20 years as a general manager, successfully leading the roll-out of an all-fiber network for Federated Telephone Cooperative, headquartered in Chokio, Minnesota, and Farmers Mutual Telephone Company, headquartered in Bellingham, Minnesota. He started his career in rural telephony as an accountant at Blue Earth Valley Telephone. After obtaining a thorough understanding of the needs of a rural ILEC, he branched out to direct the finance and regulatory departments of Sherburne County Rural Telephone Co. Today Beyer has the honor of providing customers in over 2,700 square miles in west central Minnesota with robust voice and broadband services.
In addition to his GM duties, Beyer is active in the industry, both nationally and in his home state, including NECA, NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association, Fiber Minnesota, Minnesota Telecom Alliance, and Pinnacle Marketing Group.
Beyer received his B.A. from Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, Minnesota. He currently resides with his wife and two daughters in Alexandria, Minnesota, where he devotes a significant amount of his personal time to community and charitable pursuits.
