Nicholas J. Coates (Nik) is the town administrator for the Town of Bristol and manages Bristol’s economic development efforts in that role. During his six years, he has overseen the construction of a middle-mile and fiber-to-the-premise network and partnered with neighboring towns to build the network out. He has also managed a $23-million sewer extension project, a new rail trail and parks additions, a Safe Routes to School network, a new Town Office construction, and more. He also serves as the chair of the Grafton County Broadband Committee, which is in final design for a 39-town middle-mile and fiber-to-the-premise network, and serves on several other nonprofit, municipal and state boards, including the New Hampshire Housing and Community Development Planning Council. Coates holds a batchlor’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University and a master’s degree from Northeastern University.
