Pierrette Renée Dagg, a community broadband advocate and education technology research professional, works for Merit Network at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. The aim of her work is to bridge the gap between academic scholarship and practical application to positively impact technology and information equity. At Merit, this includes information analysis and output reporting for the Michigan Moonshot citizen-scientist broadband data collection research, in partnership with the Quello Center at Michigan State University. In her prior career as a creative director, Dagg was the recipient of awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, the National Academy of Television Officers and Advisors, and was also an Emmy nominee. She holds a B.A and an Executive MBA from the University of Toledo, where she is currently earning a Ph.D. in social and philosophical foundations of education and education technology.
