Johnny McClanahan, the president and CEO of North Central Telephone Cooperative (NCTC) in Lafayette, Tennessee, has over 33 years of experience in the telecom industry. He began his tenure at NCTC as an accountant in 1989 and has served as the customer support manager and vice president of finance and administrative services. The NCTC board of directors named McClanahan president and CEO in 2018. Faced with increasing requests from neighboring communities for access to rural broadband, he has led NCTC into a partnership with Warren Rural Electric Cooperative (WRECC) to provide broadband service for members of both cooperatives. McClanahan holds a BBA and an MBA from Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee.
