Geeks Without Frontiers

Kevin Schwartz serves as executive director at Geeks Without Frontiers, leading efforts in the N50 Project to bring commercial, nonprofit, academic, and government organizations together to accelerate adoption of broadband services for the world’s unconnected. The group focuses on some of the most marginalized communities located in some of the most challenging geographic contexts. This expanding portfolio currently stretches from isolated communities in the Luumbo Ward of Zambia to tribal reservations in the deserts of the United States to refugees driven from war in Ukraine to neighboring countries.

Over the past 30 years, Schwartz and his teams have received numerous awards and recognitions at local, state, national and international levels for their work to connect students and families. These awards include Public Sector IT Executive of the Year in Austin, K-12 CTO of the Year in Texas, K-12 CTO of the Year in the United States, and the Dell World Impact Mobility award and People’s Choice award. He has served on multiple corporate advisory boards to exercise his expertise at the intersection of geography, technology, and education.
