Kirsten Compitello, who serves as Michael Baker’s national broadband digital equity director, is an experienced planner with a focus on public engagement, planning policy, community planning, and visual storytelling. She works with states, counties, and municipalities to help close the digital divide. In 2022, she led regional stakeholder engagement and served as the primary author of the Broadband Connectivity Roadmap for a 10-county region in southwestern Pennsylvania. She has participated in numerous stakeholder workshops, both nationally and abroad, and is particularly passionate about public participation as a part of the design and planning process. She leads the development of digital navigation and equitable planning tools within Michael Baker’s broadband practice.
