George Frank joined Ciena Product Management in 2015 and for the last six years has been responsible for its broadband aggregation and access product portfolio, including OLTs and ONTs. He has managed Ciena’s growth from being a nonparticipant in this market to a substantial vendor. Frank has 20 years of product management experience of networking products in the access, aggregation, and metro portions of the network. These products have included delivery vehicles for residential- and enterprise-packet, TDM CEM, encryption, and virtual edge services offered by North American and worldwide network operators of varying sizes from local/regional to national and international.

Frank has a Ph.D. in mathematics from Northwestern University and an M.S. in computer science from University of Illinois – Urbana/Champaign.
