Edwin H. Moren (Ed) currently serves as a district supervisor in King William County, Virginia. His work in developing and fielding broadband services in the county (pop. 18,492) has resulted in programs and plans to offer ubiquitous fiber broadband to every household and business in King William in the very near future. Moren served over 28 years in the U.S. Air Force, climbing to the top of the enlisted corps as a chief master sergeant with over 5,500 flight hours supporting airborne communications on 17 types of aircraft. His final assignment at Andrews AFB supported top level government officials including the president, vice president and other senior government officials with command and control and office-in-the-sky communications. He has over two decades of experience determining requirements and bringing them from developmental and acquisition phases to fully operational status, including serving as the senior vice president for a global aeronautical communications services and support company based in Florida, focusing primarily on government, military and commercial aircraft platforms for U.S. and foreign governments. He also served as the chairman of King County’s economic development association before being elected district supervisor. He holds a B.S. in professional aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and an A.A.S. in communications from the Community College of the Air Force.
