Jonathan L. West is the CEO of Twin Lakes, with corporate headquarters in Gainesboro, Tenn. Twin Lakes has evolved from a rural telephone cooperative formed in 1951 to a growing multi-services cooperative with an ever-expanding network of over 5,000-miles of fiber optic facilities. Multiple partnerships with progressive electric cooperatives have further grown the Twin Lakes network beyond the traditional footprint. West has overseen the acquisition of entities that are complimentary to Twin Lakes’ strategic objectives, as well as the development of new products and services to meet the ever-evolving needs of the region’s businesses and households. He is passionate about implementing solutions that bring broadband and related technologies to the unserved communities in rural America.
West graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a degree in mechanical engineering and has been with Twin Lakes since 2001, serving in various engineering and management roles prior to being named CEO in 2010. He also serves as president and CEO of Trilight and on the board of directors for the NTCA. He is the past president of the Tennessee Rural Communications Cooperative Association, former president of iRis Networks, past president of Tennessee Broadband Association and of the Tennessee Valley Corridor and is past chairman of Highlands Economic Partnership and Codero Hosting.
West lives in Celina, Tenn., with his wife of 21 years, Claudia, and their three daughters, Maelee (10), Everly (7) and Bailey (4). He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, exploring state and national parks, boating on the lake and teaching a Bible class for high school students.
