Kyle Williamson

Kyle Williamson is the founder and chief executive officer of DoveTel Communications, LLC., DBA SyncGlobal Telecom, and its parent company SynchroNet, Inc. He spearheads SyncGlobal’s residential broadband-in-a-box services and associated operating arrangements with EMCs, communities, and providers enabling fiber networks to be built and operated in rural America. Through his leadership, SyncGlobal Telecom has emerged from startup in 2000 to a thriving facilities-based CLEC and ISP operating a fiber network in Georgia.

Prior to starting SynchroNet and SyncGlobal Telecom, Williamson, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the communications industry, served as vice president of High Bandwidth, Inc. and as senior systems engineer in Northern Telecom’s Broadband Network Engineering division. In those roles, he designed some of the first CLEC transmission and access networks during the mid- and late 1990s.

He is a founding member of the Fiber Network Owners Alliance, a not-for-profit, strategic advocacy association comprising public and private organizations committed to aligning their fiber network resources for the purpose of providing broadband to the local areas they collectively serve. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
