Michael Tighe is the executive director of data services for Comcast Business Services. In this role, Tighe leads the development and implementation for Comcast’s data solutions portfolio, including Internet and Ethernet services for businesses of all sizes.

Prior to joining Comcast, Tighe led Verizon’s consumer and business strategy organizations with responsibility to build revenue streams for significant adjacent markets. He drove development and approval for several billion dollar new business opportunities including mHealth, Verizon’s Digital Video Distribution, Verizon Information Service and the company’s relationship with Skype.

Additionally, Tighe has an extensive background in enterprise networking and Information Technology (IT) services. He was instrumental in launching key next generation network services for Verizon including Carrier Ethernet and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS). Tighe also served at several networking and IT services companies, where he held vice president of marketing and chief operating officer positions.

Tighe served as chairman of the board for the Metro Ethernet Forum from 2004-2006. He earned a Master of Business Administration in information systems from the University of North Texas and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wittenberg University.
