Kirk Burgee is a Deputy Director of the Federal Communications Commission’s Rural Broadband Auctions Task Force, which has been tasked with implementing FCC auctions to allocate universal service support for broadband in unserved areas. Kirk is also the Chief of Staff for the FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau. In his work for the Bureau, Kirk is involved in a variety of matters related to broadband deployment, including interagency coordination of broadband programs and the FCC’s broadband data collections. Kirk joined the FCC in 2005.
