Burnett Gold previously served as president/CEO of the Fiber Broadband Association (formerly the Fiber to the Home Council North America), a nonprofit organization that helps members plan, market, implement and manage fiber-tothe-home solutions. Currently, she is the CEO of HBG Strategies, LLC, a consulting firm designed to connect people and communities with solutions for deployment of high capacity, future-proof broadband networks.

Prior to joining the Association, Gold served as senior vice president of External Affairs for XO Communications, a $1.5 billion telecommunications company, where she regularly interacted with Congress, the Federal Communications Commission, the White House and state lawmakers and regulators.

Gold has more than 30 years of experience in the industry. The Washington Business Journal honored her as one of its 2010 Women Who Mean Business. Gold received her BA (magna cum laude) and MA degrees in economics from Tufts University and earned an MBA in finance and marketing from Washington University in St. Louis. She also completed the General Management Program of the Harvard Business School.
