John Woods

John Woods is serving his fifth term as Mayor of Davidson, NC, his hometown. Previously, John served five terms as a Commissioner on the Davidson Board of Commissioners.
A graduate of Presbyterian College (B.S. Business Administration) and the University of South Carolina (M.B.A.), John is a US Army veteran, commissioned on the day he graduated from college. He served on active duty from 1971-’73 in the Adjutant Generals Corps. John believes in community service for all citizens, helping found many non-profits in Davidson that serve various citizen interests, including E2D, the effort to end the digital divide for all citizens.
