ACT Launches Gigabit Internet Service in Sheridan, Wyoming

SHERIDAN, WY — Advanced Communications Technology (ACT), which provides bandwidth solutions throughout Wyoming and Montana, announced that it has completed a series of network upgrades to deliver gigabit Internet services to ACT fiber customers. The network upgrade complements ACT’s local fiber optic network currently serving most of the Sheridan business corridor.

“From day one, ACT has remained committed to delivering communication solutions to strengthen businesses, promote economic development and improve the quality of life in the Sheridan community,” says ACT’s general manager Aaron Sopko. “Being able to offer gigabit speeds to our customer base is keeping our community on the forefront of communication technology.”

ACT’s fiber optic business customers will have access to a full gigabit (1,000 Mbps) network, which will feature Internet speeds over 15 times faster than what has been traditionally available in Sheridan. With gigabit connectivity, customers have the ability to download a 500 MB file in less than five seconds enabling businesses to focus on what they do best, adding to their overall bottom line.
