ADTRAN and Comptel Accelerate Time to Market for Broadband Service Providers

  • Comptel Corporation
SYDNEY — ADTRAN, a global provider of networking and communications equipment, announced it is collaborating with Comptel Corporation to accelerate the time-to-market for broadband providers. The first result of this collaboration is a turnkey integration solution that creates an unified management architecture for multi-vendor FTTx solutions. Carriers and retail service providers can now adopt a Service Orchestration architecture capable of decoupling customer premise equipment and central office access vendor lock-in via automated FlowOne Fulfillment. Broadband providers not only realize the benefit of a streamlined, multi-vendor network access infrastructure, but can easily expand their service footprint and rapidly deploy Gigabit, Ethernet, VDSL2, G.fast, GPON and other highly desirable services to residential and business customers.

Technology Agnostic Service Orchestration Solution
“Unlike others, Comptel aims to help service providers to build a unified vendor and technology agnostic service orchestration solution, which supports any sales channel and enables smooth migration from traditional to cloud infrastructures. Together with ADTRAN we significantly speed-up the introduction of a modern service delivery platform for broadband service providers,” comments Jussi Wäre, vice president, ANZ & Alliances APAC for Comptel.

“The two companies have been working together to integrate key northbound interfaces from ADTRAN’s family of FTTx solutions into Comptel’s FlowOne Fulfillment. Comptel’s FlowOne Fulfillment platform can now manage ADTRAN’s entire broadband portfolio through its established network OSS system,” said Greg Hankinson, regional vice president for Australia, ADTRAN.
