Alpha Introduces Ultra High Density Fiber Management Tool

BELLINGHAM, WA – Alpha Technologies, a global provider of broadband solutions, announced a new offering to streamline fiber management at the headend. The Alpha Ultra High Density Fiber Panel with PEACOC technology (platform with enhanced access for compact optical connectors) combines unprecedented ultra-high density fiber capacity with connector access and an unique cable management system.

Simple and Scalable Panel
With the first configuration at just 1RU (rack unit), the Alpha Ultra High Density Fiber Panel is an compact design. Offering 144 simplex LC connectors, the panel is simple and scalable. In a standard 7' rack, this panel offers up to 60 percent more fiber connection capacity than a typical fiber panel in the same physical space. As demand grows, and the requirement for fiber connections increases, the Alpha Ultra High Density Fiber Panel allows for easy and efficient scalability through additional rack units totaling 5,760 connections in 40 RU.

PEACOC Technology

Alpha’s new offering provides unprecedented access and greatly simplifies maintenance. PEACOC technology not only allows tool-less access to the front and back connections in the panel, but also from the same side of the rack. Once the panel is open, separating the LC connectors from one another is a simple task. The numbered connector points fan outward to isolate and direct exactly where to make a connection. This level of accessibility allows any connection change in the panel to be easy, fast, and accurate.

The Alpha Ultra High Density Fiber Panel puts the focus on efficiency and makes cable management simpler and more convenient than ever. Cable sleeves and routing along the front, back, and side of the rack provides effective wire arrangement, making it simple to identify and distinguish connection points inside the panel. Designed to be agile, these cable sleeves allow the unit to open and close easily without the interference of cabling.
