AMT Announces Reseller Program for Motorola Passive Optical LAN Solution

DEERFIELD BEACH, FL - Distributor Advanced Media Technologies (AMT) announced a value-added reseller program enabling enterprise structured cabling providers to offer the Motorola Passive Optical LAN (POL) solution in North America and Latin America.

POL is a next-generation enterprise LAN solution derived from carrier-grade passive optical networking (PON) technology. By replacing existing LAN connections with a single high-capacity fiber optic cable connecting the user directly to the data center, it eliminates bulky copper wiring, multiple distribution closets and related power and cooling systems. POL helps enterprises realize substantial capex and opex savings while saving energy.

AMT’s authorized resellers will provide POL technology and associated design, deployment and support capabilities to customers of all sizes. As Motorola’s largest stocking distributor, AMT will fulfill POL product requirements directly to VARs, along with additional products and services offered by AMT that will complement end user-specific solution and technical requirements. AMT will also provide resellers with training, support and tools for the sales and marketing of POL.
