AT&T Fiber Announces Rollout in 85 Additional Cities

DALLAS — AT&T announced that it is launching its ultra-fast Internet service in nearly 85 cities across 20 major metros in November. The company is expanding availability of its 1 gigabit connection to more homes, apartments and small business locations on our 100 percent fiber network powered by AT&T Fiber.

The company is launching a gigabit Internet connection to locations in four new major metros today – Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Charleston and Reno. That means the 100 percent fiber network powered by AT&T Fiber is available in 44 major metros nationwide. The company plans to reach 67 overall.

AT&T is also expanding its 100 percent fiber network in 16 metros where it has already launched:

  • Atlanta

  • Charlotte

  • Chicago

  • Cleveland

  • Dallas

  • Fresno

  • Houston

  • Jacksonville

  • Los Angeles (Los Angeles County and Orange County)

  • Miami

  • Orlando

  • Raleigh

  • San Antonio

  • San Francisco

  • St. Louis

  • West Palm Beach


AT&T markets its ultra-fast service to over 3 million locations, of which over 500,000 include apartments and condo units. The company claims to be on track to meet the 12.5 million locations planned by mid-2019.
