Blue Diamond Receives US Patent on 3N1 HDPE Multi-Cell Conduit

LEXINGTON, KY — Blue Diamond received a US patent on its 3N1 HDPE Multi-Cell Conduit — Continuous Conduit with Pre-Installed Innerducts, a boreable HDPE continuous conduit with three or four innerducts pre-installed inside. The 4-inch outer casing is extruded over the innerducts at Blue Diamond’s manufacturing facility in Middlesboro, Kentucky.

Blue Diamond 3N1 saves time and money by allowing contractors to bore a complete package. Innerducts do not have to be pulled through after the bore, allowing you to blow fiber or pull power lines as soon as the bore is complete, without special equipment. 3N1 can also be trenched or plowed in applications along highways.
Currently, 3N1 is available in a 4-inch SIDR 11.5 casing with 3-1 1/4-inch SDR 13.5 innerducts installed. (4-1-inch innerducts can also be installed “4N1”). Lengths of 500-1000 feet are standard, however, custom lengths and configurations are available.
