Comcast has expanded its portfolio of offerings with new collaborations in Smart Buildings, Video Analytics, Smart Mobility, Digital Signage, Smart Lighting, and Smart Public Works, reaffirming its commitment to its Comcast Smart Solutions business. In addition, the company announced successful deployments across college campuses, office buildings, municipalities, and more.

Since launching in April 2022, Comcast Smart Solutions has expanded its relationships with technology providers across the growing smart technology ecosystem, including Quantela, a global leader in urban infrastructure solutions and integrated AI technologies for smart cities and businesses, Creative Realities, a leader in end-to-end intelligent and interactive digital signage solutions that scale, and Umojo, an innovator with complete and transformative parking solutions. They join an already impressive list of partners that include Conservation LabsEagle Eye NetworksJuganuLogical BuildingsMachineQnetPark, and SmartEnds.

With this expanded roster of collaborators, plus gigabit speed connectivity, Comcast Smart Solutions delivers custom-configured solutions for customers, including multifamily properties, mixed-use developments, enterprise businesses, campuses, and cities and municipalities.

Hopeworks, a non-profit social enterprise in Camden, NJ and Philadelphia, PA, partnered with Comcast Smart Solutions and Logical Buildings to create a smart energy management solution, including Comcast access points, smart thermostats and leak detection sensors. The solution harnesses Logical Buildings’ SmartKit AI™ toolkit – enabled by Comcast’s MachineQ device-to-cloud platform – to deliver real-time energy visualization and management, helping HopeWorks manage energy use.

Additionally, The City of College Park, minutes away from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Georgia, worked with Comcast Smart Solutions on several evolving smart deployments, including smart waste bin sensors and public Wi-Fi. In collaboration with Eagle Eye Networks using Comcast’s public Wi-Fi deployment, College Park also deployed a video analytics solution to analyze vehicle traffic patterns, speed, and congestion, as well as monitor pedestrian safety. College Park expects to share the resulting analytics with the city council and police department on a weekly basis to help reduce speeding and optimize the use of sanitation trucks.
